Náplň práce

You have a unique opportunity to be a part of this implementation journey. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting all major activities and projects in the MSF SITS organization. The scope of activities will range from oversight, organization, and tracking of various activities assigned to respective individuals or teams all the way to full fledged implementation projects and change management. You will ensure that the activities are delivered according to a given methodology and on schedule. Majority of the activities and projects will be IT related. This role will also be responsible for capacity and demand planning in collaboration with MSF SITS management and financial analyst.

You will be responsible for:

  • Reporting to the General Director of MSF SITS
  • Provide support to technical teams in terms of tracking and oversight of all major activities and projects in MSF SITS in collaboration with their owners
  • Ensuring that all respective activities and projects are properly planned, including measurable milestones, adherent to a given methodology, and are properly documented
  • Keeping track of the schedule and agreed timelines
  • Managing capacity and demand planning for various activities
  • Actively look for synergies in existing capacity supply vs. the incoming demand for services
  • Ensuring that all major activities and project planning include pragmatic utilization of available resources and proactively planning hiring/procurement of additional capacities
  • Support MSF SITS management and financial analyst in short-term and long-term financial planning and budgeting activities including cost recovery activities.
  • Ensuring that each team has the tools it needs to meet project execution requirements and milestones
  • Assisting in documenting project phases and creating summary reports for the management
  • Working with other team members to handle project issues as they arise
  • Building a strong team by cultivating relationships between each staff and team and illustrating how individual team members affect the success of the entire project
  • Ultimately helping to create a culture of collaboration, quality, transparency, timeliness and reliability, knowledge sharing, and documentation within all activities and projects

Požadavky na kandidáta

  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination and administration
  • Master level education in a related field
  • Valid and current Prince2 or other PM certification
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts
  • Strong knowledge of written and digital project management tools
  • Perfect command of English language
  • International experience strongly preferred
  • Able to work completely independently
  • Able to fully manage and own the full scope of the role
  • Acceptance of full responsibility for the results
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to occasionally travel internationally
  • Able to work in an international and diverse work environment

comes from individual private donors giving small amounts.

The organization was founded in 1971 in France by a group of doctors and journalists in the wake of
war and famine in Biafra, Nigeria. Their aim was to establish an independent organization that focuses
on delivering emergency medicine aid quickly, effectively and impartially. Three hundred volunteers
made up the organization when it was founded: doctors, nurses and other staff, including the 13
founding doctors and journalists.

Today, MSF is a worldwide movement of more than 42,000 people working in 21 sections, 12 branch
offices, 5 Operational Centres and three supply centres worldwide. There are as many IT departments
as sections, and together they support more than 22,000 system users spread over MSF offices and
missions across the globe. To gain in efficiency and improve end-user experience, MSF has decided
to build its own Shared IT Services Centre (SITS) in Prague.
